The first year that I moved to France (in 2015), I found a ‘Color Run’ campaign which I presumed inspired by the Holi Festival. Since I’ve never been in India, nor having a plan (yet), I asked some friends to join me and one of them said yes with no hesitation. (Yes! 😁 ) Getting back to the Holi Festival, I’ve learnt that the concept of the festival derived from legends (there are so many by the way) and one that I’ve heard was about Vishnu’s victory over a demoness named Holika. From this point, I think you can guess the origin of the festival’s name. Holi festival is held during spring where the weather changes from cold to hot; the period where people get ill easily. So, apart from throwing colors at each other for fun, this tradition brings as well a good condition to your health. How?  English version click here เราใฝ่ฝันอยู่เสมอว่าหากมีโอกาส อยากจะเข้าร่วมงานสาดสี เทศกาลโฮลี (Holi Festival) ที่ประเทศอินเดียดูสักครั้ง แต่...อย่าว่าแต่ไปร่วมงานโฮลีเลยค่ะ แผ่นดินอินเดียเรายังไม่เคยได้ไปเหยียบเลย เมื่อปีแรกที่มาอยู่ฝรั่งเศส (2015) ได้เห็นโฆษณางาน Color Run ที่น่าจะได้รับแรงบันดาลใจมาจากงานโฮลีของอินเดีย แค่เปิดดูรูปกิจกรรมคร่าวๆ เราลงก็ประกาศหาเพื่อนร่วมอุดมการณ์ในโซเชียลมีเดียทันที ...ผลปรากฏว่า ไม่มีใครสนใจเลยจ้า 😭 เราเลยไปกึ่งชวนกึ่งอ้อนเพื่อนสนิทชาวมะกันคนหนึ่งที่เคยเรียนด้วยกันให้ไปเป็นเพื่อน (จะไปวิ่ง ไปเล่นคนเดียวมันก็เขินอยู่นะคะ) โชคดีที่เพื่อนตอบตกลงทันทีโดยไม่ลังเล (เย่! 😁) ย้อนกลับมาที่เทศกาลโฮลีของชาวฮินดูกันสักนิด ทราบมาว่าคอนเซปต์ของเทศกาลนี้เกิดมาจากตำนานความเชื่อในชัยชนะของพระวิษณุที่มีต่อนางมารโฮลิกะ (Holika) ซึ่งคาดว่าน่าจะเป็นที่มาของชื่อเทศกาลนี้ ทั้งนี้เทศกาลโฮลีจัดขึ้นในช่วงฤดูใบไม้ผลิอันเป็นรอยต่อระหว่างฤดูหนาวก่อนที่จะก้าวเข้าสู่ฤดูร้อนซึ่งเป็นช่วงเวลาที่ผู้คนมักจะเจ็บป่วยไม่สบายกันได้ง่าย นอกจากการโปรยสีใส่กันอย่างสนุกสนานแล้วชาวฮินดูแต่โบ
